Guild Begins a New Tradition with Pottery Plus
The Syracuse Ceramic Guild expands its annual show events by introducing the first Pottery Plus show, building on the successful 27-year tradition of its Annual Pottery Fair every August at the Stone Hill Quarry Art Park.
Pottery Plus will be hosted by the Vineyard Church, just ten minutes from downtown Syracuse. In addition to the new convenient location and timing just before the holidays, the Guild has invited its members to include their work in media other than ceramics. Over thirty Guild members will sell their quality ceramic wares plus glass, sculpture, paper, fibers, and wood arts.
There is plenty of free parking and no admission fee.
Friday evening's reception promises delicious food and the smooth, often edgy voice of local jazz performer Marcia Rutledge. The Vineyard Church is catering the event. The Guild is keeping the tradition of offering free coffee to those who purchase mugs and raffling works donated by Guild members.
This past year, two nationally recognized ceramic artists conducted workshops for the Guild: Sandi Pierantozzi and Stephen Fabrico. Both have donated work that will be offered for sale. Please join us for excellent food, jazzy tunes and unique holiday gifts!
